SMEG is an Italian manufacturer of Premium domestic ovens and cooking appliances. Founded by Vittorio Bertazzoni Senior in 1948. Smeg still has it's roots and production facilities in the town of Guastalla, Reggio Emilia, Italy. Smeg has always been the market leader for new design trends and proudly boasts the catch phrase - Technology with Style.

In 1956 SMEG introduced the Elizabeth Upright Gas Stove, the first of it's kind to offer safety features we take for granted today. Automatic Ignition, Safety Cut Off Valve and the first offering of an Automatic Programmer.
