Fisher and Paykel were the first compant to create refrigeration liners made from polyurethane foam, now a world wide standard. ##### Laundry Firsts In 1985 they created the "Gentle Annie" the worlds first washer with a brushless direct current motor. A few years later they introduced their SmartDrive system an intuitive system delivering exceptional clothes care quickly and quietly. ##### Kitchen Innovation The concept of a social kitchen underpins their philosophy. This led them to develop flexible appliances for your kitchen, tailored to your lifestyle and individual needs. The kitchen is not just a place where food is prepared, it's where we meet, do homework, where we engage with our family and friends. Appliances like the Dish Draw are a great example of fitting a lifestyle choice. Small famalies or single people may be attracted to a single dish draw.
